The Benefits of Righteousness

The Benefits of Righteousness

Christ is our Righteousness

1 Corinthians 1:30 (ESV)  And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption,
1 Corinthians 1:31 (ESV)  so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

2 Corinthians 5:21 (ESV)  For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Claiming the Benefits of Righteousness by faith.

The Benefits of Righteousness

The benefit of boldness in the face of the adversary.

Proverbs 28:1 (KJV)  The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

Ephesians 3:12 (HCSB)  In Him we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him.

Ephesians 3:12 (AMP)  In Whom, because of our faith in Him, we dare to have the boldness (courage and confidence) of free access (an unreserved approach to God with freedom and without fear).

Hebrews 10:19 (NLT2)  And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus.
Hebrews 10:20 (NLT2)  By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.
Hebrews 10:21 (NLT2)  And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house,
Hebrews 10:22 (NLT2)  let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.

The benefit of positive answers to prayers.

1 Peter 3:12 (KJV)  For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

Proverbs 15:29 (KJV)  The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.

James 5:16 (NIV)  Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

1 John 3:21 (AMP)  And, beloved, if our consciences (our hearts) do not accuse us [if they do not make us feel guilty and condemn us], we have confidence (complete assurance and boldness) before God,
1 John 3:22 (AMP)  And we receive from Him whatever we ask, because we [watchfully] obey His orders [observe His suggestions and injunctions, follow His plan for us] and [habitually] practice what is pleasing to Him.
1 John 3:23 (AMP)  And this is His order (His command, His injunction): that we should believe in (put our faith and trust in and adhere to and rely on) the name of His Son Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and that we should love one another, just as He has commanded us.
