Adapted from the Winning Prayer by David Oyedepo

Prepare Your Heart

Job 11:13-17 (NLT2)
{Job 11:13 “If only you would prepare your heart and lift up your hands to him in prayer!
{Job 11:14 Get rid of your sins, and leave all iniquity behind you.

James 5:16 (AMP) 16  Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].

Isaiah 59:1-3 (ESV)
Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear;

For your hands are defiled with blood and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies; your tongue mutters wickedness.

Psalm 66:18 (ESV) 18  If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.

Matthew 5:8 (ESV)  “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

Proverbs 1:24-28 (ESV)
24  Because I have called and you refused to listen, have stretched out my hand and no one has heeded,
25  because you have ignored all my counsel and would have none of my reproof,
26  I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when terror strikes you,
27  when terror strikes you like a storm and your calamity comes like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you.
28  Then they will call upon me, but I will not answer; they will seek me diligently but will not find me.

1 John 3:22 (KJV) 22  And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
